Sean Moyles is a specialist and expert in employment law. Sean has focused exclusively in this specialty area of law since 1996.
Sean has been recognized by the Florida Bar as a Board Certified expert in Labor and Employment law. Board Certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar for expertise, experience and professionalism of lawyers practicing in a specialty area.
Sean works with his clients in litigation, representation before governmental agencies, and day-to-day advice and counseling. Sean’s practice involves a broad range of employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation (e.g., Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Florida Civil Rights Act), medical leave (the Family and Medical Leave Act) and overtime compensation (the Fair Labor Standards Act), as well as non-compete, employment and separation agreements. Sean also regularly represents employers in investigations involving the Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Sean has held numerous leadership positions with the Florida Bar and local Bar Associations. Sean has served as the Chairman of the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Certification Committee, which is responsible for preparing, administering and grading the examination for lawyers who seek Board Certification in Labor and Employment Law. Sean is a regular contributor to the Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Certification Review course, having served as the speaker for the non-compete segment and a contributing author for the review materials.
Sean has served on the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, which oversees the award of board certification for the various specialty areas and evaluates continuing legal education.
Sean has also served on the Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee, the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Section’s Individual Rights Committee, the Section’s Local / Voluntary Bar Association Liaison Subcommittee, the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Law Week Committee (Co-Chairman), the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Long Range Planning Facilities Committee, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division (Treasurer, Parliamentarian). Sean has also served as the President of the Tampa Gator Club.
Sean started his career with one of the premier boutique employment law firms in Florida, and became a partner in that firm. In 2004, Sean opened the Clearwater, Florida office of Langston, Hess & Moyles, P.A. as its Managing Partner.
